Black Series Boba Fett

A team of my coworkers heads out to San Diego Comic-Con each year to promote Hallmark’s Keepsake Ornaments and other geek-inspired gifts. This year, one of my good buddies ran recon for me and picked up Hasbro’s SDCC-exclusive Black Series Boba Fett set.

I wasn’t sure how impressed I’d be by the quality; there have been plenty of “in the wild” photos of Black Series figures that didn’t live up to the lofty expectations presented by prototypes. I’m happy to report that my initial exposure to Fett/Carbonite Han set does not disappoint (or perhaps I’m easily excited).

Really great sculpts and detail with fantastic packaging, and scale looks good. Can’t speak to articulation yet since I won’t cut the elastic and free the figures until they’re safe at home tonight. They’re truly a terrific sight to behold, though!

    • Tons of ’em on eBay right now, but I’d suggest waiting a couple of weeks until the fervor (and price) dies down a little…

  3. It’s things like this that make me think that the protagonist of “The 40-Year-Old Virgin” was better off how he was in the beginning of the film.
