From My Momma
I’m struggling with words today, so I’ll just steal what my mom sent out to her coworkers…
I am so thankful that God is in charge and not doctors. The news yesterday was not good. Without radiation and chemo, Pete was given 6 weeks. With radiation and chemo, 6 months to possibly a year. Pete is 53, never been sick a day in his life.
Isn’t it strange how your life can be changed in an instant?! Sherry and Pete are coming up on their 30th anniversary, and he is still her knight in shining armor. In more than 30 years, I’ve never seen him angry. He has complete peace about all of this.
God expects us to ask “why?” and there are a lot of us asking that question right now. Sometimes we may not hear Him, but He always answers with “I know how you feel, and I’m here.”
Now it’s time for me to “gear-up”, knee pads, shield, armor and all. We’ve started having Friday Fasting where we fast a meal during the day and pray.
We know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him…and if God be for us, who can be against us? So however this turns out, we will have victory.
Thanks to all for your prayers and God bless you and your families, I appreciate you all.
